What is the Gospel?

The gospel is the glorious good news that God has provided salvation for sinners through the death and resurrection of his Beloved Son, Jesus Christ. We were all sinners and deserved God’s eternal judgment. The Bible says, “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23) “and the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23).  

Although we all deserved eternal judgment, death, and separation from God, God sent his perfect and holy Son to obey God for us, die the death that we deserved, and rise from the dead for our justification (Romans 4:25). 

Because Jesus died for sinners and God raised him for their justification, God only requires one thing from any sinner, no matter how much you have sinned. God demands that you trust in Jesus alone and you will be saved. 

If you trust in Jesus, God will forgive you all your sins, give you the righteousness of his Son Jesus, reconcile you to himself, give you his Spirit to empower you to live a godly life, and at the end, God will reward you with eternal joy in his presence.
